The McPherson Eye Research Institute is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Timothy Gomez to the RRF M.D. Matthews Professorship. Dr. Gomez, a professor in the UW-Madison Department of Neuroscience, researches visual sensory cell development and regeneration. The RRF M.D. Matthews Professorship was established by the Retina Research Foundation, founded by the McPherson ERI’s namesake and co-founder, Dr. Alice McPherson, and is awarded to an outstanding vision researcher within the McPherson Eye Research Institute.
