Research
Dr. Kirkorian’s research interests are at the intersection of cognitive development and media effects. Her vision-related research addresses how children allocate visual selective attention to dynamic stimuli (e.g., television) and in naturalistic contexts (e.g., during toy play). She also studies the extent to which infants and toddlers learn from digital media, and the impact of screen media on play and parent-child interactions. Dr. Kirkorian specializes in eye-tracking methodology including data collection and analysis.
