Allison Ludwig is a combined degree veterinary and PhD student in Dr. David Gamm’s lab. She is particularly interested in comparative ophthalmology, animal models of human disease, and novel therapies for inherited retinal degenerative diseases. Allison’s research currently focuses on using human pluripotent stem cells to study photoreceptor replacement strategies for diseases like retinitis pigmentosa and age-related macular degeneration.
