Research
Dr. Phillips has conducted research in many promising areas of potential vision therapies including neuroprotection, retinal prosthetics, and mechanisms of endogenous retinal repair. His current studies in Dr. David Gamm’s laboratory are focused on the use of human pluripotent stem cells to study retina development and retinal disease pathophysiology, as well as to use this system for drug discovery and cell replacement therapies.
