Skala Lab develops new method for T-cell differentiation

Researchers headed by a team at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and the Morgridge Institute for Research, developed a novel label-free imaging technique that exploits autofluorescence to differentiate between active and inactive T cells, at the single cell level. The technique, which provides high spatial and temporal resolution, could potentially be adapted to image cells in a plate or dish, tissue samples, or even be used for in vivo imaging of a complete organism.
