Research
Kore Chan was strongly engaged in vision research as an undergraduate, working with Dr. John Flannery at UC/Berkeley studying retinal degeneration in mouse models. Post-veterinary school, he is joining Dr. Gillian McLellan’s lab to pursue a graduate degree in CBMS under her mentorship, studying novel strategies to counteract retinal GABA toxicity. He intends to pursue a residency and ultimately a career in veterinary ophthalmology as a clinician/scientist.
