Research
Retinal tissue architecture is determined by a plethora of dynamic and complex interactions between different cell types and extracellular matrix; thus, retinal tissue composition carries an abundance of markers associated with ophthalmologic diseases. In his current research, he is developing surface-enhanced mid-infrared spectral imaging (SE-MIRSI), which is a label-free and non-destructive chemical imaging method that enables correlation of morphometric and chemometric information to elucidate underlying biochemical signatures associated with ophthalmologic diseases.
