Research
Mason Shipley’s interests are in how the herpes simplex virus 1 (HSV-1) mechanistically reactivates after latent
infection, and how HSV-1 reactivation events affect neuronal damage and keratitis symptoms. Shipley has experience mouse models following lytic infections via corneal epithelium inoculations.
