Join us on Thursday, March 26th, for a discussion with Netra Founder, Manish Kulkarni, on the Netra Systems UltraEye: a novel, ultra-resolution (micron-scale) multi-modal AO-OCT/SLO system. Discussions will take place in room 585 of the Medical Sciences building and on Zoom from 9-10 am.
Netra Founder Manish D Kulkarni, PhD, is the CEO of Netra Systems, Inc, whose mission is to accelerate ophthalmic innovation and research by supplying sophisticated multi-modal ultra-resolution imaging products. Manish has strong experience in developing high-performance biomedical imaging and sensing systems. Manish holds 13 issued and 2 pending US patents and has published 2 book chapters and 35 articles. Manish and his team have also been developing a next-generation optical imaging platform for early ophthalmic diagnostics and other medical applications. Prior to starting Netra Systems, Manish was working at Carl Zeiss Meditec, where he developed early versions of optical coherence tomography and image analysis algorithms. Manish has a PhD in Biomedical Engineering from Case Western Reserve University (where he invented Doppler OCT and spectroscopic OCT), an MS in Physics from Michigan Tech, and a BTech from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay.
