Research Interests:
Professor Altaweel has been a principal investigator for National Eye Institute funded clinical trials evaluating uveitis, macular degeneration, retinal vascular disorders, and diabetic retinopathy for the last 20 years. He is particularly interested in imaging and biomarkers. His most recent interest is stem cell and gene therapy.
