Research Interests:
Dr. Travers vision-related research focuses on working with individuals with autism. She examines how visual presentation of a person’s balance may assist in improving balance overall. She has also looked at diagnostic group differences in visual-motor integration and corresponding brain regions. In collaboration with Dr. Ari Rosenberg, she has examined the learning of visual patterns in individuals with autism. In collaboration with Dr. Andrea Mason, she has examined visual-motor integration in reach-to-grasp paradigms. In collaboration with Dr. Karla Ausderau, she has examined visual hypo- and hyper-sensitivity in individuals with autism and the neural correlates of these behaviors.
