Research
My research investigates the neural mechanisms of visual segmentation based on motion cues. Specifically, I study how neurons represent multiple stimuli across feature domains such as speed and motion direction, and how these representations transform along the dorsal visual pathway. In Dr. Xin Huang’s lab, I combine human psychophysics to examine how motion cues facilitate perception, non human primate electrophysiology to probe neuronal responses to multiple stimuli within receptive fields, and computational modeling to explore the coding rules underlying these processes.
