Clinical Interests
Dr. Chandra is the president and founder of Combat Blindness International.  His clinical interests include vitreoretinal disease, international ophthalmology, macular disease, ocular melanoma, and trauma.

Research Interests
Dr. Chandra’s research interests center around clinical trials for macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, and other retinal diseases. He has served as Principal Investigator for the landmark Age-Related Eye Disease Study (AREDS), which investigated the effect of antioxidant vitamins and zinc on macular degeneration and cataract, and is now lead investigator for the AREDS2 project, among others.
