Dr. Chang is interested in clinical and translational research relating to surgical retinal diseases, including retinal detachment, macular hole, epiretinal membrane and complications from diabetic retinopathy. He has been involved in reviewing clinical outcomes and cost-utility of retinal therapies. He also has an interest in big data and use of large language model artificial intelligence in the clinical setting.
