Research Interests
I employ behavioral methods to investigate how the semantic associations we form between perceptual features (e.g., color and texture) and concepts can influence perceptual and cognitive processing. I am currently working on a project investigating the role color semantics may play in a fundamental aspect of scene perception: object detection (the product of a judgement as to where an object lies within a visual field relative to the background).
