Research
I work on infrared optics, and in particular optical components and structures that emit and modulate thermal radiation. This field has to do with infrared (thermal) vision, which can discern information which is less accessible with visible cameras of human vision. A related area of research in our group is the conversion of light from the infrared into the visible range. In my research, I have focused on studying mid-infrared photonics with the goal of improving their sensitivity and reliability through optical structure engineering.
