Research
Dr. Teng is broadly interested in how visual processing is influenced by various top-down factors such as working memory, control, and learning. Her previous work has demonstrated that visual working memory changes perceptual sensitivity for low-level visual features such as orientation and color. Currently, she is investigating the effects of cognitive control in mediating the interactions between visual working memory and visual perception. She uses a combination of psychophysics, EEG, fMRI, and computational modeling to answer these questions.
