Research
I am interested in studying the role of intrinsic melanopsin-mediated signaling in the mammalian retina. By using a combination of immunohistochemistry and 3D electron micrograph reconstruction, I aim to understand the effects of early melanopsin signaling on the development of different retinal cell types, such as photoreceptors and downstream bipolar cells.
