Research
I have been actively involved in vision research since joining the A-EYE unit as a research intern. My work has primarily focused on the development and deployment of deep learning models for ophthalmic imaging. Specifically, I have contributed to projects involving the segmentation of the ellipsoid zone (EZ) and retinal pigment epithelium (RPE) in OCT images, as well as the analysis of images for geographic atrophy (GA) model detection. My current project involves developing an algorithm to segment risk lesions for hemorrhages and intraretinal microvascular abnormalities (IRMA) for early detection of diabetic retinopathy (DR). These experiences have deepened my interest in vision science and have equipped me with a strong foundation in both the technical and clinical aspects of retinal image analysis.
