Research
My current research focuses on investigating the lipid metabolic landscape of the retinal pigment epithelium (RPE) using RPE-specific peroxisomal knockout mouse models. This work aims to provide insight into how lipid metabolism in the RPE is regulated and how disruptions in these metabolic processes can drive RPE degeneration and contribute to age-related retinal diseases such as age-related macular degeneration.
