Research Interests:
Jacob’s research focuses on the neurophysiology and structural biology of the inner retina in development and disease. He uses a mouse model of complete congenital stationary night blindness to study dysfunction of neural circuits in the retina and clarify mechanisms of neural compensation. As a MD/PhD student, he aims to understand how retinal diseases manifest clinically
and devise treatment strategies for disease prevention and management.
