Research
In the Rosenberg Lab, Lauren Kresser is researching how brain areas in the dorsal visual stream transform two-dimensional projections of light on the retina into three-dimensional representations. She is also investigating the sensorimotor transformations that use 3D visual representations to guide our motor actions. This work is done by training rhesus macaque monkeys to discriminate the orientation of 3D planar surfaces, as well as perform a series of visually-guided saccade tasks. She then performs electrophysiology recordings to analyze activity at both a single cell and population level.
