Research Interests
Sara Liliensiek is currently employed by VWR International, LLC, a leading global supplier of laboratory equipment. She was an Assistant Scientist in the Chemical and Biological Engineering Department at UW-Madison, where her interests involved the development and improvement of synthetic corneas. In collaboration with Dr. Paul Nealey and Dr. Christopher Murphy, Dr. Liliensiek worked towards the development of a biomimetic, clinically relevant basement membrane to promote both early and late events involved in wound healing critical for reepithelialization over the stromal component of corneal implants.
