Research Interests
Dr. Murphy has worked on creating biomaterials for cell therapy, drug and gene delivery, and tissue regeneration for over 15 years. His previous studies include novel biomaterials to design, manufacture, and deliver peptides, proteins, DNA, RNA, cells and tissues. Applications extend to a broad range of in vivo applications, including angiogenesis in the eye, retinal regeneration, and ocular cell therapy. Dr. Murphy also serves as co-Director of the Stem Cell and Regenerative Medicine, and Director of the Human MAPs Center at the University of Wisconsin.
