Research
Dr. Shahi has performed ion channel/cell signaling studies for the past 7 years, in the intestines and colon as well as in the eyes. He is currently working on the Kir 7.1 channels expressed in RPE cells whose mutation is associated with congenital blindness, specifically in Leber congenital amaurosis.
