Ms. Wisner is am currently conducting research involving the synaptic
connections of bipolar cells in the retina. Specifically, she is looking at (1) how these connections
change during development, (2) the energy requirements of bipolar cells during development, and
(3) how cellular, metabolic, and synaptic profiles of bipolar cells are altered when circuit activity or
neurotransmission is perturbed.
