Research
Zeinab was recently recruited as a Research Associate to apply some of her graduate training in use of mesenchymal stems cells for treatment of diabetic wounds that do not heal, to expand her interest in diabetes to its vision related complications.
She is investigating the role adenosinergic receptor signaling pathways play in activation of mast cells, and their activity in regulation of ocular anti-inflammatory diseases including diabetic retinopathy, retinopathy of prematurity, and AMD.
She is also interested in using stem cells and stem cells derived vesicle for regenerative medicine and therapeutic application in ocular disease.
