Research
Dr. Chaurasia’s lab focuses on translational research programs to better understand the molecular basis of mechanisms involved in the pathogenesis of neovascular retinal diseases including retinopathy of prematurity (ROP), proliferative diabetic retinopathy (PDR), and diabetic macular edema (DME). Their long-term goal is to identify the key proteins and pathways that can be targeted to reinstate the neuronal and vascular cells in the pathophysiology of retinal diseases.
