In the McDowell Lab, Tania is using different cellular and molecular techniques to understand the molecular mechanisms of intraocular pressure (IOP) regulation in Glaucoma. She also utilizes a novel mouse model of glaucoma to study the molecular pathology of trabecular meshwork damage in vivo.
