Research
Kimberly Toops is currently employed by Carl Zeiss Microscopy, the world’s only manufacturer of light, X-ray and electron/ion microscopes. She was an Assistant Scientist in the Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences at UW-Madison where her interests involved the cellular pathology of macular degenerations. Dr. Toops trained with both Dr. Aparna Lakkaraju and Dr. Robert Nickells and collaborated with many MERI members as the manager for the Ophthalmology Core spinning disk/TIRF microscope system.
