Research
As a veterinary ophthalmology resident, Dr. Yang is interested in the preservation of vision in many different species, particularly in glaucoma patients. She has participated in a trial of an ocular hypotensive agent in dogs, as well as a tonometry study at UW-Madison. She was recently awarded a grant by the Vision for Animals Foundation to study the safety and efficacy of latanoprostene bunod in a large animal model of glaucoma, in collaboration with the McLellan laboratory. This study remains ongoing. In the future, she plans to continue investigating vision-sparing therapies in an academic setting and contributing scientific knowledge to the field of ophthalmology.
