Research Interests
Isabel Villanueva is a doctoral candidate in the Department of Life Sciences Communication at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. Her research explores the communication and public opinion formation of emerging and controversial science issues, with an emphasis on the role of social media. She has been involved in studies examining the intersection of art and science communication, investigating how visual art can influence individuals’ engagement with climate change content on- and offline.
