Ms. Mathu has been assisting with electrophysiology and optical coherence tomography in Dr. Gillian
McLellan’s lab for almost 3 years. She has also been working on characterizing feline trabecular
meshwork cells isolated from normal and glaucomatous cats. She is investigating the links between glaucoma and Alzheimer’s Disease, and her graduate studies will focus on the optic nerve crush and microbead injection models of glaucoma, as well as the 5XFAD model of Alzheimer’s disease.
