Research
My research aims to understand the neural mechanisms of visual perception and motion-based segmentation. Focusing on understanding the contribution of distinct cortical regions within the dorsal visual stream, I aim to elucidate how the brain processes the available information to shape perception. Currently, I am interested in understanding how the brain uses the available information from motion cues for image segmentation, and how visual perception guides behavior. I employ a multifaceted approach, integrating human psychophysics, non-human primate electrophysiology and optogenetics to investigate underlying neural circuits and the interaction between various cortical areas.
