The McPherson Eye Research Institute is pleased to announce the Fall 2022 Walsh Research Travel Award recipients. These awards are generously supported by the David G. Walsh endowment.
Recipients will receive up to $1000 in registration and travel fees to attend and present vision-related research at a professional conference or symposium.
Jacob Khoussine, graduate student (Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences; Mrinalini Hoon, PhD, mentor), “Luminance-Dependent Compensation of Retinal Output Pathways in a Model of Congenital Stationary Night Blindness.”
Jake will attend Neuroscience 2022 from November 12-16, 2022.
Ziyun Ye, graduate student (Ophthalmology & Visual Sciences; Donna Neumann, PhD, mentor), “Targeting Axonal Transport Mechanisms in the Treatment of Recurrent Ocular HSV-1 Infections.”
Ziyun will attend ARVO 2023, April 23-27, 2023.
