Research Grant Competition for Trainees

The McPherson Eye Research Institute is pleased to announce its second annual research grant competition for trainees whose principal investigator mentors are McPherson ERI members at UW-Madison or at another Wisconsin institution. This includes trainees under members at UW-Milwaukee, UW-Oshkosh, The Medical College of Wisconsin, Marquette University, and Marshfield Clinic Research Foundation.

Trainees invited to apply for funding include graduate students, postdoctoral researchers, and medical or veterinary students.

The McPherson ERI Leadership Committee has established this Vision Research Trainee Grant opportunity to give trainees experience writing grant applications, to augment their professional development, to advance vision research in McPherson ERI member groups by funding trainee research, and to encourage the next generation of vision scientists.

Funded by the Institute’s annual Cycle for Sight event, two Vision Research Trainee Grants of $3000 each will be awarded in 2018.
